Categories

  • Commercial Lines Insurer of the Year

    The award will recognise a P&C player that has supported businesses across Asia, delivered on claims and enhanced staff development.

  • General Insurer of the Year

    This award will recognise a GI player that has a wide range of products that meet diverse protection needs, strong distribution, a first-class claims offering and support to customers.

  • Personal Lines Insurer of the Year

    For a leader in the home, motor and (or) travel markets. The winner will have found the right balance between customer service, pricing, underwriting and claims.

  • Life Insurer of the Year

    The judges will look for a firm which has been providing excellent innovations and support for its customers and distribution partners.

  • Digital Insurer of the Year

    The winner, a P&C or life insurer, should have excelled at a digital journey whether it be through distribution, claims or risk management.

  • Specialty (Re)insurer of the Year

    For a specialist market player which has been expanding, supporting brokers and creating innovative client solutions.

  • ESG Leader of the Year

    The award celebrates companies that have fostered a deep commitment to environment, sustainability and governance (ESG) goals, and implemented ESG principles in all aspects of their operations affecting measurable and sustainable improvements.

  • Trade Credit Insurer of the Year

    The judges will look for an insurer which has been providing excellent innovations and support for its customers in the field of surety, collections, structured trade credit as well as political risk.

     

  • Underwriting Initiative of the Year

    Celebrating an initiative that has challenged the status quo or has pushed the limit of traditional insurability. The initiative will be well structured, priced and executed.

  • Broking initiative of the Year

    The winner will have successfully introduced an innovative, impactful or market-first program or strategy that has pushed the envelope.

  • ESG Initiative of the Year

    This award recognises a remarkable environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiative by a (re)insurer that has made a perceptible change and improved outcomes.

  • Managing General Agent of the Year

    The winner will be the MGA that have provided an outstanding underwriting service over the past year and have brought product innovation to the markets they serve.

  • Risk Modeller of the Year

    This award will go to the firm that provides the best solutions to (re)insurers in Asia to help them manage their capital and solvency risk exposure and other regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Analytics Provider of the Year

    The award will be given to the firm that has most improved the data and analytics solutions they provide to the (re)insurance industry in Asia.

  • Catastrophe Modeller of the Year

    The award will go to the best solution provider that allows (re)insurers to best evaluate and mitigate risk from perils such as typhoons, floods, earthquakes and wildfires.

  • Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) Solutions Provider of the Year

    The award will be given to a broker or carrier who has provided first-class and innovative risk and retention solutions and capabilities across specific lines of businesses.

  • P&C Reinsurer of the Year

    The judges will recognise a P&C reinsurer that has provided great broker and client service, invested in market initiatives, contributed important research and been a market pioneer.

  • Life Reinsurer of the Year

    The winner will be for a firm which has excelled in innovation, developed strong client relationships and been a rock to the market in difficult times.

  • Woman Leader of the Year

    The award honours an inspirational woman leader at an insurer or broker who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and made a significant impact in the industry through her exemplary work and advocacy.

  • Asean Reinsurer of the Year

    For the reinsurer that has provided excellent service to Asean’s 10 markets. The region is growing quickly and integrating – and it’s now that firms need to be positioning themselves.

  • Reinsurance Transaction of the Year

    As Asia becomes an increasingly sophisticated reinsurance hub, this award recognises a reinsurer, broker or investor that has undertaken an innovative, market moving transaction.

  • Reinsurance Broker of the Year

    The award will be presented to the broker which has excelled at helping its clients navigate tough negotiations in multiple countries.

  • Insurtech Initiative of the Year

    For a market player (e.g. insurer, tech firm, start-up, reinsurer or broker) who has carried out a transformational insurance technology initiative in the region.

  • Technology Provider of the Year

    The judges will look for the technology firm which has serviced its clients through a period of rapid change, market turbulence and sustained growth.

  • Claims Initiative of the Year

    For the broker, insurer or reinsurer that has produced the best claims initiative in the region. This might have been dealing with a nat cat or a company rollout.

  • Loss Adjuster of the Year

    Recognising an adjuster that has provided outstanding service to Asia’s insureds, brokers, insurers and reinsurers. The adjuster should have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

  • P&C Broker of the Year

    The judges will be looking at brokers which are excelling at: client service, providing compelling market initiatives, risk management and areas such as CSR and staff training.

  • M&A Deal of the Year

    The winning deal will go to the firms behind the best transaction which managed to align economics, regional expansion and cultural alignment.

  • Rating Agency of the Year

    The winner will have provided fair, accurate and timely assessments for (re)insurers in the region. The judges will recognise the provision of key market intelligence and insight, cutting edge reports and other innovations.

  • Consulting Firm of the Year

    For the consultant that has provided consistent, innovative and above and beyond support for their clients.

  • Law Firm of the Year

    The judges are looking for the firm which has made the best market contribution – in litigation, claims, M&A or expertise. The firm should have high quality teams, good client responsiveness and be well regarded.

  • Marketing Campaign of the Year

    The judges are looking for a life or P&C player that has enjoyed a successful and trendsetting marketing campaign in the region.

  • D&I Initiative of the Year

    This award celebrates the best D&I initiative by a broker, insurer or reinsurer. It could be an event, programme, workshop or activities in relation to gender, LGBT, cultural, social and economic equality.

  • CSR Initiative of the Year

    This award will recognise an event, programme, workshop and other activities – e.g. charitable giving, company volunteering or participating in environmental and social impact programmes.

  • Young Underwriter of the Year

    The winner will have made an outstanding contribution to the team. The winner will be 35 or below as of June 1, 2024.

  • Young Broker of the Year

    The winner will have made a significant contribution to the business. The winner will be 35 or below as of June 1 2024.

  • CEO of the Year

    The winning candidate will be a regional CEO at a broker, insurer or reinsurer that has excelled in managing teams, executing change and rising to some unprecedented challenges.

  • CFO of the Year

    The CFO of the Year will have demonstrated financial leadership and outstanding performance over a number of years while being the driving force behind growth and profitability.

  • Lifetime Achievement Award

    Presented to a senior distinguished exec who has added significant value to the market over decades.

  • Health Insurer of the Year

    The health insurer should be excelling in products, distribution, CSR and staff development. The insurer might be working with agents, brokers or selling direct to customers, or a mix of all three.

  • Insurtech of the Year

    The winner will be a disruptor that applied technology and innovation to revolutionize the Asia re/insurance industry.

  • Specialty Broker of the Year

    Recognising a specialist intermediary that has demonstrated expertise in specialty lines and introduced innovative client solutions.

Associations, brokers, insurers, law firms, loss adjusters, modelling firms, reinsurers and technology firms with operations based in Asia can enter the awards.

To submit your entry, please fill out the form under ‘Applications’ on the award homepage above. We will then send you an entry form by email. Please provide as much information as possible. The awards are free to enter.

Your firm can enter for as many awards as you like, but please ensure that each entry addresses the information requirements for each category.

We want to hear about your business successes, investment in talent, innovation, digital capabilities, client support, CSR and about going above and beyond the call of duty. Please refer to the questions in the entry forms for specific requirements. The judges will also use their own market knowledge when deciding winners.

Each winner will have access to a trophy, an awards’ logo and the chance for a write-up in a special awards supplement. We plan to host an awards evening in Hong Kong in December.
